I loved this book. Bella Jewel is probably one of my favorite authors and she doesn’t disappoint with this book.
Avery and her brother Liam’s mother disappeared 10 years ago, and their lives forever changed. Avery tries to make her father happy by being with Jacob who doesn’t make her happy. Liam is losing himself to drugs.
Avery then meets Nate at a party at Liam’s house. They have an instant connection and form a bond. Nate is amazing. I loved him. He is this tall handsome motocross driver who captures your heart with his cheesy pickup lines. He stays in a loveless marriage because he fears that if he leaves his little girl will be taken from him or worse something would happen to her. His wife is an alcoholic who cares more about herself than her 3 year old child. They fight so hard to hide their feelings to each other because Avery is in a relationship with Jacob and Nate is married. But when there is such a strong connection it is hard to fight those feelings. Avery vows to never be the other woman. All this is going on while her mother’s case is reopened and new leads are found.
Avery and Nate’s bond and trust are tried and they can either fight for what they want or stay in the loveless relationships that they are in.
Many twists in this story that keeps you reading on. I started it and finished in a couple hours. I loved that their relationship started as friends but they couldn’t deny their connection. You will gasp when you read the twists that happen. You will fall in love with Kelly who is Liam and Avery’s best friend. He is like protective big brother and major hottie all in one. (Maybe there will be a book about him.) Also at the end there is an extra scene from her Sinners series, and OMG I loved it. I definitely recommend this book. I love Bella Jewel’s books and this one definitely didn’t disappoint!
