What a great idea for a story! The idea sucked me in and Maya delivered with the characters.
Jane is a plain jane, librarian by day and romance author by night, or at least that's what the people she went to high school with think. Her life is plain and boring but she wishes she could change that. Jane doesn't want to be the wallflower any more, she wants to take risks and feel passion in her life.
Duke is the bad boy billionaire, at least that's what he's labeled since his first 2 startup companies tanked. If he can get his act together for this deal he would not only be a billionaire on paper but in the real world as well.
One chance meeting at a party in the library, one drunk status update by Jane's friend, and now they are engaged to be married. Duke the bad boy and Jane the wallflower, can they pass the fauxmance test? Will Jane lose her heart to Duke?

Being the good girl isn't what Jane wants anymore, and since her fauxmance with Duke has opened her eyes to new things she's not sure she wants to go back to being the wallflower.
What happens when your roommate reads your manuscript and loves it? Well if you are Jane you drink and do some editing then hit publish.
Hoping her ex Sam and her current Duke don't read it or notice the similarities is one thing but forgetting the fact that she's supposed to be the prim and proper one not the romance author and drawing attention to herself is another.
Once the media get wind of the could be truth in her books and compare it to her real life all that she and Duke have worked for can be ruined. What's a faux couple to do? Well you act like you are mad at each other, even if you can't stay away from each other.
Her ex Sam is thrown into the mix somewhere, after reading her status updates and seeing her having a good time he contacts her to meet for drinks. She sees what she had and what she wants now, and they might not be the same thing they used to be.
Maya did an awesome job on this book as well as book 1 can't wait for book 3!

Jane thought she knew what she wanted in life when she was with Sam, she wanted the white fence and 2.5 kids be a stay at home mom, but when she wasn't enough and boring for Sam her plans changed. Now with Duke she feels things she never thought she'd feel. Duke's company is his life and he doesn't put anything in front of it, Jane just needs to accept it.
When Sam invites her to have drinks with him after some cryptic texts and status updates she decides to see if he's ok. That may be a mistake, when anger and let downs mix with alcohol they can turn into a bad mix.
Jane shows up at Dukes apartment and they whether not only an emotional hurricane but a real one as well. With the power and cell service out they have nothing but time to rebuild Jane's trust and their love.
